Jury Finds in Favor of Federal Signal Corporation in Pittsburgh Hearing Loss Trial

Oak Brook, Illinois, October 12, 2017 – Federal Signal Corporation (NYSE:FSS), a leader in environmental and safety solutions, today announced that a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania jury absolved the Company from any liability in a lawsuit brought by four Pittsburgh firefighters. In reaching its verdict, the jury dismissed the firefighters’ claims that the Company’s siren product was defective. The jury deliberated for less than 2 hours before reaching its verdict in favor of the Company.

Federal Court Orders Plaintiffs’ Lawyers to Pay Costs and Fees to Federal Signal in Hearing Loss Litigation

Oak Brook, Illinois, April 28, 2017- Federal Signal Corporation (NYSE: FSS) (the “Company”), a leader in environmental and safety solutions, today announced that a federal judge in Pennsylvania has ordered the attorneys representing the majority of the plaintiffs in the Company's hearing loss litigation to pay the Company approximately $128,000 as reimbursement of legal costs incurred by the Company defending a suit brought by a group of Washington, D.C. firefighters.

PA Court Issues Ruling in Favor of Federal Signal in Firefighter Hearing Loss Case

Oak Brook, Illinois, April 15, 2016- Federal Signal Corporation (NYSE: FSS), a leader in environmental and safety solutions, announced today that a Pittsburgh court issued an opinion granting the Company’s motion to dismiss a case filed by seven Pittsburgh firefighter plaintiffs who claimed that the Company’s sirens on their fire trucks caused them hearing loss.
